MARKT VAN MORGEN - April edition

After a drive of an hour and a half we arrived as the first ones, a little too early but it gave us enough time to set up and try a few new things. 


The market started to slowly come alive when the first people arrived after their Easter brunches. It didn't seem that people were in a buying mood, with their bellies full. But when the sun warmed the people up and good music was coming out of the speakers, we did our first few sales. And what promised to be a slow sunday ended up being a good one. 


But as ever it is a fun market, a hidden gem, small and cosy and with some cool products from art, design, fashion, jewelry and kids clothing. And Antwerp is a beautiful city for a weekend visit or a day trip. Come see us at the next Markt Van Morgen.

MORE MARKETS

Last weekend we sold a record amount of shirts at the local market: Home Made Market, just around the corner of the Eazy-Teez HQ.


And two weeks ago we were in Brugge at De Vitrine. This one took place at a great industrial space full of character. It was an old hall of Bombardier build at the turn of the last century. It was another great market day, with enthousiastic buyers and vendors. We hope to be back here in November.

ECO BABY SHIRTS

Made the first eco baby shirts for Eazy-Teez. Using bio cotton and non-toxic silkscreen ink that I brought from my trip to Australia. The shirts were handprinted here. Opening new possibilities.

ECHT WAAR BAZAAR / Utrecht

This last weekend we were at a great little Bazaar. And eventhough the snow and ice kept a lot of people away, we had quite a successful weekend. Next to the unique location, the Bazaar was in a 600 year old monastry cellar right in the middle of the city of Utrecht, there was some good food, hot chocolate and more fun things for sale.

WALLSTICKERS / Eazy to apply. Quick Result.

The first few wall stickers are for sale through the Markita webstore. An Eazy and fun way to pimp the kid's room. More designs will be uploaded soon. The stickers are available in more colors.

PAPER TOYS / test model

Paper Toys are really cool and for the longest time I've had plans and ideas to make a few. I finally got around to making one. Here's a first model of the Skater Boy.

 

WALLSTICKERS / testing 1,2,3

Testing new wallstickers, with waterbased glue. The previous tests were encouraging, the stickers are still on the wall. Trying bigger stickers with larger surfaces now. If all tests work out; they will be available online soon.

Any tips on true environmentally friendly stickers are more than welcome.

 

 

1ST MARKET OF THE YEAR

 Hopefully this year we will be present at more cool creative markets. If you have any suggestion we would love to hear about them.

This year we will start with the Echt Waar Bazaar in Utrecht. A great 2 days shop annex store with rotating roster of merchants. It's a special location too; 600 year monastry vaults. You will find some good food, self made accessories and hip products here. We will bring more accessories with us too.

Come visit us February 4 and 5, the vaults are open from 10:00 - 17:00

NEW POSTCARDS

Working on new postcards, it's a great way to get work slowly started into the new year. Trying a new printer as well; printing the cards on 300gr recycled paper. The old printer stopped printing on recycled paper.
